FORT McMURRAY — Wood Buffalo RCMP are asking for the public’s help identifying suspects after obtaining video footage connected to the vandalism of about 30 vehicles in downtown Fort McMurray.
Police say the vehicles had their tires slashed while parked at 15 and 16 Saunderson Avenue and 111 and 112 Charles Avenue sometime between 10 p.m. on June 28 and 4 a.m. on June 29.
RCMP asked residents and businesses for surveillance or dashboard camera footage as officers investigated the incidents.
Suspect vehicle in vandalism investigation
Police have since obtained video footage of the incident showing a suspect vehicle believed to be connected to the vandalism. However, the resolution of the images is limited, but investigators are asking anyone who may recognize the vehicle or have information about the identity of those responsible to contact police.
