Fort McMurray Giants are making history tonight in Sylvan Lake in their first playoff appearance in franchise history.
They secured their spot on August 3 after defeating the Edmonton Prospects 5-4.
The Giants registered the lowest opposing batting average of .255 and the third-best earned run average of 3.99.
Game one of the best of three semi-finals is at Gulls Stadium in Sylvan Lake tonight where the Giants will be making their playoff debut.
Legacy Dodge Field in Fort McMurray will host game two on Tuesday; the first pitch for that game will be at 7:05 p.m.
If both teams manage to secure a win, game three will be held in Sylvan Lake on Wednesday.
