The community once again showed up in a big way for local families in need during the latest “Stuff a Cruiser” campaign hosted by Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Wood Buffalo.
Corporal Natasha Lytwenko says the event, held at the downtown Real Canadian Superstore in Fort McMurray, was a major success, with donations completely filling the bed and back seat of a pickup truck. Along with non-perishable food items, residents also donated cash and gift cards in support of the Wood Buffalo Food Bank.
Officers spent the afternoon collecting donations and speaking with community members as part of the annual campaign aimed at helping local families facing food insecurity.
Wood Buffalo RCMP thanked everyone who stopped by to contribute, saying they were excited to see the community once again come together to support one another.
