Fly YMM Best Best Marketing Program, Small Airports, at the ACI-NA Marketing, Communications and Customer Experience Awards
FORT MCMURRAY — Fort McMurray International Airport is getting North American recognition for its marketing and customer experience work, earning finalist spots in two categories at the 2026 Airports Council International-North America awards.
YMM was named a finalist for Best Promotional Item and Best Marketing Program, Small Airports, at the ACI-NA Marketing, Communications and Customer Experience Awards.
The awards recognize airport marketing, communications and customer experience initiatives across Canada and the United States.
ACI-NA represents governing bodies that own and operate commercial airports across both countries. Its member airports handle more than 95 per cent of domestic and virtually all international airline passenger and cargo traffic in North America.
The organization also includes about 380 aviation-related businesses.
YMM says the conference also marked several professional milestones for its manager of marketing and communications, Jessica Lipton.
Lipton concluded five years of service on the ACI-NA Marketing, Communications and Customer Experience Steering Group and participated as a panellist in a session titled The Art of Community Whispering.
She also attended her first in-person meeting of the Canada’s Airports Communications Committee as its newly appointed chair.
Fort McMurray International Airport says participating in industry boards and committees allows regional airports to share their experiences and learn from colleagues across the aviation sector.
ACI-NA says Canadian airports support about 435,800 jobs and contribute nearly $50 billion to Canada’s gross domestic product.
The organization’s work includes advocacy, industry research, professional development and networking through 17 committees, along with annual conferences and awards recognizing airport industry practices.
