FORT MCMURRAY — Wood Buffalo RCMP are inviting people interested in a policing career to try the Police Fitness Assessment later this week.
Two assessment sessions will be held Sept. 18 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the parking lot at Holy Trinity Catholic High School, 230 Powder Drive.
RCMP say the assessment is intended for people interested in joining the force, as well as those already going through the application process.
The Police Fitness Assessment is designed to give prospective applicants a better understanding of the physical requirements of police work and the RCMP recruiting process.
The assessments will be held outdoors at the east end of the school.
Anyone interested in participating is being asked to email Const. Charles Lee at Charles.lee@rcmp-grc.gc.ca with their name, email address, phone number and preferred session time.
