FORT McMURRAY — Residents of Gregoire Lake Estates are being asked to help shape plans for a potential waterfront community gathering space.
The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is considering a space focused on passive activities, giving residents a place to walk, relax, enjoy nature and gather near the water.
The municipality is seeking feedback on potential amenities and features, as well as the level of community support for the project.
Residents can provide input through an online survey or quick poll until Sept. 18. Printed copies of the survey are also available at the Anzac Rural Municipal Office, while residents can participate by calling Pulse.
An in-person engagement session is scheduled for Sept. 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Anzac Recreation Centre.
Feedback collected during the engagement period will be reviewed as the proposed gathering space moves through development.
The municipality has not outlined specific amenities for the site, with the consultation intended to help determine what residents would like to see included.
More information and the online survey are available through the RMWB’s Gregoire Lake Estates Community Space engagement page.
