FORT McMURRAY — Wood Buffalo RCMP are seeking witnesses and dash-camera footage after a parked vehicle was significantly damaged in a hit-and-run collision at the downtown Superstore.
Police say a black Buick Verano was parked in the northeast section of the parking lot next to the Mobil gas station between 7:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 14.
The owner discovered significant damage to the front driver’s side after returning to the vehicle.
A note left on the Buick said the writer had struck the vehicle and could be contacted, but it did not include a name or phone number.
Investigators contacted nearby businesses but were unable to o
btain surveillance footage of the collision.
RCMP are asking anyone who witnessed the collision, has dash-camera footage from the area during the four-hour period or has information useful to investigators to come forward.
Police are also encouraging the person responsible for the collision to contact them.
