FORT McMURRAY — Residents of Janvier are being invited to meet with municipal staff later this month to learn about local projects, ask questions and provide feedback on community priorities.
The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo will host a community meal and information session featuring updates on several municipal initiatives affecting the hamlet.
The municipality is seeking public input on rural snow and ice maintenance priorities, while also providing information on planned rural bridge repairs.
Residents will also have an opportunity to meet with representatives from the fire department to learn about becoming paid on-call firefighters in Janvier.
Municipal staff will also be available to discuss other projects and programs underway in the community.
The municipality says the event is intended to give residents an opportunity to connect directly with project teams and help shape future planning in Janvier. A meal will be provided.
