
FORT MCMURRAY, Alta. — A man was arrested after allegedly forcing his way into a home in Fort McMurray’s Timberlea neighbourhood.
Wood Buffalo RCMP say officers responded to a 911 call for a break and enter in progress around 8:40 p.m. on May 28. They say an unknown man knocked on the door of an apartment in the 100 block of Cartier Road and pushed his way inside after the homeowner answered.
Police say the suspect was physically restrained by the homeowner until officers arrived. A 40-year-old Fort McMurray man was arrested without incident and remains in custody pending a judicial interim release hearing.
The homeowner was not injured. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
