The Northeastern Alberta Aboriginal Business Association (NAABA) is welcoming a new director to its board.

During their October 10th Annual General Meeting, Angela Maxson, President of Creekline Inc., was elected to the board of directors. Maxson, a graduate of Keyano College, has been leading her company, Creekline, for over ten years.

Outgoing NAABA President and Board Chair, Jaime Harpe, welcomed Maxson to the team.

“We are very excited to welcome Angela to the organization. The governance roles our Directors hold are key in making meaningful change for Indigenous businesses in Northern Alberta,” said Harpe.

“We look forward to leveraging Angela’s expertise to support our strategic activities and strengthen our collective voice.”

Approximately 450 people attended the AGM, including NAABA entrepreneurs, business professionals, and Indigenous leaders in Fort McMurray – Wood Buffalo.

This is NAABA’s 30th year in the region. The Indigenous Business catalyst was founded in 1993 to work with industry, government, and the community to enhance opportunities for Indigenous people while promoting Indigenous business development.
