The new proof of vaccination QR code will be the only form of vaccination record accepted beginning November 15th.

Any organization taking part in the Restrictions Exemptions Program will need to see your QR code, a privately paid for negative COVID-19 test result, or medical exemption.

Albertans can find their QR code at Alberta.ca/covidrecords where it can be saved to your phone or downloaded and printed.

If you need assistance accessing or printing your record you can visit a participating registry office where they will print it off for you for free or call 811 to have your QR code mailed to you.

First Nations and military vaccination records are the only exceptions to the mandatory QR code rule.

Today’s COVID 19 Numbers

The number of patients in the intensive care unit in Alberta has decreased over the last 24 hours while the number of covid cases in the hospital has stayed the same.

As of November 8th, there are a total of 608 people in the hospital due to the virus with 128 in the intensive care unit, down seven from yesterday.

There are 6,090 active cases in Alberta with 132 in Fort McMurray (down three from yesterday), and 10 in rural areas (down four from yesterday).

Unfortunately, there were 8 new deaths reported today, upping Alberta’s death count to 3,159 deaths due to COVID-19, 18 of which have been in Fort McMurray and 2 in the rural areas.

So far, 81.4 per cent of eligible Albertans over the age of 12 have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
