Keyano Aiming For In-Person Learning Next School Year

Keyano College is aiming to return to in-person learning for the next school year.

The post-secondary school says they believe restrictions on how they can teach will be lifted by September as the province is in phase two of the reopening plan, while most Albertans are expected to receive their first COVID-19 vaccine during the summer.

The province has also directed all universities and colleges across the province to prepare for a full return in the coming months.

“We welcome this guidance as it helps address uncertainty for Fall program delivery and will facilitate our planning,” said, Dale Mountain, ” Keyano College Interim President and CEO.

Moving forward, the college is working on plans for physical distancing, class sizes, and other measures.

Meanwhile, Keyano is still planning to offer virtual learning for those who don’t feel comfortable returning at this time.
