A former NHL player is coming to Fort McMurray after a minor hockey coach was charged with multiple sexual offenses.
Theo Fleury is planning on speaking to the people who were impacted by this situation, offering his support.
His foundation, Fleury Enterprise,s confirmed to Mix News he will be here next week.
Wood Buffalo RCMP announced on Monday they had arrested 31-year-old Steven Charles Adams and charged him with luring a child, sexual assault, and sexual exploitation.
This coming after allegations arose while he was working as a volunteer coach with the Fort McMurray Minor Hockey Association in 2018.

Fleury has been an advocate for ending sexual abuse after his own traumatic experience as a junior hockey player.
He was in Fort McMurray back in July where he hosted his ‘Victor Walk’ movement.
