The TELUS STORYHIVE is introducing a new Three-Part Docuseries Edition, designed to support new and emerging filmmakers in developing their storytelling skills and bringing meaningful local stories to life.
Selected participants will receive $20,000 in production funding, professional training, mentorship through the National Screen Institute, and distribution support to help complete and share a three-episode documentary series.
The program is looking for stories that reflect local communities and real impact, including:
- People and organizations creating positive change
- Technology improving lives and connecting communities
- Environmental initiatives and sustainable solutions
- Health and wellness stories that improve care and accessibility
- Community-driven stories that highlight local experiences
No prior filmmaking experience is required.
Applications are open to individuals with a story to tell and a vision to develop into a documentary series.

Applications close: May 14, 2026, 11:59 PM PT
Recipients announced: Sep 16, 2026, 12:00 PM (noon) PT
Production starts: Oct 20, 2026
Production ends: Dec 13, 2027
