Residential and commercial property owners will be receiving their property tax notices this month.
The RMWB Council approved the 2023 Property Tax Rate Bylaw at their April 25th meeting.
Most property owners will see a small increase in their tax bills, while some may see a reduction based on the assessed value of their property.
The RMWB says the bylaw is an important part of completing the work within this year’s budget.
The budget is focused on police, fire, ambulance, social services, roads, and capital projects.
The RMWB says the bylaw allows the municipality to maintain some of the lowest tax rates in the province.
The deadline to pay your property tax is June 30, 2023.
