Melanie Antoine is being recognized for her dedication and work within the RMWB.
Nominated by Premier Jason Kenney, Antoine was presented with Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal.
Antoine is the first female and First Nation Chair of the Northern Lights Health Foundation and says it is an honour to be recognized among the many other Albertans who are making a difference.
“Building and enhancing the community as well as the region has always been important to me. It is where I live, work, and play while continuing to raise a family with the hope that every little bit of contribution from the community will help it prosper,” said Antoine, CEO of the APE Group.
“Not only do I support women in the trades, but I support all women in industry within all disciplines. It was a humbling experience receiving the medal as the enormity of the award was felt by all recipients because of the Queen’s recent passing.”
The Platinum Jubilee Medal was created to mark the 70th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada and recognizes those who make significant contributions to the province.
