Fort McMurray and the rural areas are seeing slight increases in active COVID-19 totals.
The province announced on Thursday 399 new cases across Alberta.
There are currently 4,484 active cases across Alberta, while there have been a total of 132,432 positive tests. There are also 280 Albertans in the hospital for the virus, 56 of which are in ICUs.
Locally, Fort McMurray added seven new cases and three recoveries, which raises the active total to 40.
The rural areas saw an additional case, putting the total of active cases at two.
There continue to be no active cases in Wood Buffalo National Park.
In total, 1,850 individuals across the RMWB – 1,711 in Fort McMurray, 130 in the rural areas, and nine in Wood Buffalo National Park – have recovered.
They are among the 126,074 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents over 95 per cent of reported cases.
There were also eight new deaths from COVID-19 in Alberta over the past 24 hours – raising the total to 1,874.
To date, three individuals in Fort McMurray have died as a result of the virus.
