ACDEN Show and Shine 2026
FORT MCMURRAY — Car enthusiasts and community supporters have driven the Acden Show & Shine to a new fundraising record for the Centre of Hope.
The sixth annual event raised $57,823.70 to support people experiencing homelessness in Fort McMurray.
More than 2,000 people gathered at the Acden building on Aug. 23, where 125 vehicles were on display. Seventy-two businesses and organizations also sponsored or supported the fundraiser.
“It’s pretty special to see what the Acden Show & Shine has become over the past six years,” said Acden president and CEO Garry Flett.
Flett credited the organizers, sponsors, volunteers and residents who helped turn the event into what he called a celebration of community care.
The money will support the Centre of Hope and its drop-in centre, which provides essential services and helps people experiencing homelessness work toward stability.
Centre of Hope executive director Rosie Keating said the record-setting result shows what can happen when the community comes together.
“We’re incredibly grateful to Acden, our sponsors, volunteers, vehicle owners and everyone who came out,” Keating said. “Their support makes a real difference for people in our community who need it most.”
The Show & Shine has now been held six times in support of the Centre of Hope.
