Two big trailer drops arrived back-to-back this morning. Above is the first “Official Trailer” for Stranger Things season 5. You may be thinking “didn’t we already get a trailer, though?” And you’d be right! But they called that a “teaser” and nobody seems to know what that actually means because it’s definitely a whole trailer. It looks pretty great – I dig that a radio station is going to be an important location in Hawkins and the upsidedown. Each episode is practically a feature-length movie, and the final episode will literally be one. They’re releasing it in theatres the same night (New Years Eve, btw) as the episode arrives on Netflix.
Meanwhile… Sidney Prescott’s back.
Looks like they figured out the paycheck (especially after pivoting away from the new franchise leads Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega) and are putting Neve Campell back front and center to the Scream franchise for the 7th installment. Not counting the alternate-continuity tv show. Think the killer is a new copycat psycho, or a returning villain from the past? Think Jamie Kennedy will make a cameo from beyond Randy’s grave? Think there will be a tribute to Dewey? What do you think in general?
