The director of the first (and polarizing) Silent Hill movie adaptation is back to direct the 20-year sequel. Return to Silent Hill will arrive in January 2026, and looks to be mainly inspired by the events of the game Silent Hill 2 – which just saw a ground-up remake arrive on current consoles earlier this year. Video game adaptations have been a slippery slope since they began, so expectations of greatness are not high. But it does look decent, and more than capable of sending a chill or two down your spine. Pyramid Head ALONE is enough to make teeth chatter.
On a meta note, I appreciate that someone out there does have an idea of what a TEASER trailer should be. The runtime is short, the use of dialogue is limited, and there’s no way to effectively figure out the plot of the entire movie based on the contents.
