Ford’s quality issues continue, with 76 recalls this year—more than Mercedes, GM, Honda, Toyota, VW, and Stellantis combined.
Added to the list is 4 new recalls:
#1. Super Duty Brake Recall: Don’t Drive Until Checked
Some 2025 F-Series Super Duty trucks could lose braking ability.
Ford is recalling 2,345 Super Duty trucks (2025 F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550) due to a missing brake booster spring that could cause sudden brake failure. The issue was linked to a trainee’s assembly mistake. Ford advises owners not to drive the trucks until the part is confirmed to be in place.
#2. 2025 Mustang Mach-E: Park Button Failure
276 Mach-Es may not fully shift into park due to a manufacturing defect. A damaged tool created a burr on the park rod, preventing it from locking properly—posing a rollaway risk.
Owners will be notified next month to visit a dealership for a free park rod assembly replacement.
This marks the second recall in one day for the Mustang Mach-E. Earlier, nearly 297,000 were recalled over a battery issue that could stop the doors from unlocking.
#3. Bronco Doors: Too Easy for Kids to Open
27,768 four-door Broncos have a rear door that may open from the inside, even with the child lock on.
The problem stems from “dimensional interference” inside the door, which can distort the child lock latch and cause it to fail. Dealers will inspect and replace the rear door latch if needed.
#4. Explorer & Aviator: Second-Row Seat Issue
About 304,662 crossovers (2020–2025 Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator) may have a second-row seat that moves unexpectedly, even during a crash.
An incorrectly installed folding seat bezel can cause the switch to stick, making the seat unlatch, fold, or slide unexpectedly.
