Alright, Cruz Nation—this is not a drill… we bought a trailer. And not just any trailer… a 29-foot beast that’s somehow going to carry my entire little family (plus snacks, plus bikes, plus every single thing the kids “have to” bring) into vacation bliss.
We’re picking it up this weekend and I honestly can’t believe it’s real. After months of searching—like, serious late-night deep dives, dealership visits, and floor plan debates—we finally found the one. It’s got space for the kids, a little kitchen setup, cozy bunks, and enough storage to maybe avoid daily scavenger hunts for sunscreen.
We’re not hitting the road just yet—we’ve got a couple weeks before we roll out—but the countdown is officially on. The plan is to head out and explore some of beautiful BC. We’re talking lake views, forest trails, campfires, and (hopefully) some quiet mornings with coffee in a camp chair while the kids sleep in.
Of course, we’re keeping a close eye on the wildfire situation. It’s already been a crazy spring out there, and we’re really hoping things settle down and don’t derail the trip. But more importantly, we’re thinking of all the communities already dealing with it and sending a huge thank-you to the firefighters and emergency crews working around the clock. You folks are heroes.
The kids are beyond excited. My partner’s already got a color-coded checklist going. And me? I’m trying to figure out how to tow a 29-footer without wiping out a street sign. We’ll see how that goes.
If you’ve got camping tips, hidden gem spots in BC, or favorite gas station snacks (don’t underestimate the importance of that last one), hit me up! I need all the advice I can get before this rig becomes our full-time summer ride.
I’ll still be on the air for the next couple weeks before we roll out, but fair warning—my brain’s already halfway to the woods.
Catch ya soon,
Jordan
P.S. If you see someone awkwardly trying to back in a giant trailer at a BC campground this summer… just assume it’s me. 😂
