There are no new cases of COVID-19 in Fort McMurray for an 11th straight day.
Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, announced on Tuesday 45 new cases across the province – none of which in the RMWB.
This puts the provincial total at 6,345.
The number of active cases in Fort McMurray remains at three, while 19 others have already recovered.
The only two reported cases in the rural areas have also recovered.
These 21 individuals are among the 4,866 in Alberta who no longer have the virus. This represents over 76 per cent of cases.
As for the outbreak at Imperial Oil’s Kearl Lake site, north of Fort McMurray, there are no active cases on site. There are 27 active cases off-site.
Meanwhile, one more individual have passed away from COVID-19 in Alberta – putting the death toll at 118.
None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
