FORT McMURRAY — Keyano College is rebranding its signature fundraising gala as it looks to launch a new chapter in support of students, student-athletes and post-secondary education in the region.
The college announced its long-running fundraising event will now be known as Encore, replacing the previous Keyano Gala branding while continuing its focus on raising money for scholarships, facilities and student initiatives.
College officials say the new name reflects a renewed vision centred on student success, alumni achievement and the institution’s on012going impact in northeastern Alberta.
The event is scheduled for Nov. 7 at the Grand Ballroom in SMS Equipment Place.
Keyano College said fundraising events over the years have helped create scholarships, support student-athletes, enhance facilities and strengthen community pride throughout the region.
The college describes Encore as both a celebration of that legacy and an opportunity to build on it.
Guests attending the event can expect an evening featuring live entertainment and a four-course dinner while supporting post-secondary education in the community.
The college is also seeking corporate sponsors and community partners to support the fundraiser.
Organizers say sponsorship opportunities include marketing exposure and public recognition while helping fund student and athletic programs. Gift-in-kind contributions will also be accepted.
Keyano officials said the event represents a new era for the college and an opportunity to bring together supporters of education, community development and student achievement.
Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the formal program beginning at 7 p.m.
Proceeds from the event will support Keyano College students and student-athletes.
