RMWB Transit gets a makeover
FORT MCMURRAY — The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is inviting residents to learn more about recent changes to local transit service at a series of public events scheduled for early December.
An open house will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic High School on Wednesday, Dec. 3. People can drop in any time between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. to speak directly with transit staff, review route information, and ask questions about ongoing service adjustments. Municipal officials say the session is meant to give riders a clearer sense of how recent updates may affect daily travel for students, workers, and families.
A second opportunity comes two days later, when a pop-up information table will be set up at MacDonald Island Park’s main concourse. The pop-up runs Friday, Dec. 5 from 2 to 4 p.m. and will offer quick, informal conversations for residents who may not be able to attend the longer open house. Staff will provide maps, schedule information, and guidance on how to submit feedback.
The municipality is also asking riders to complete the Transit Rider Feedback Survey. The survey can be filled out online at rmwb.ca/transitfeedback or by calling Pulse at 780-743-7000. Printed copies are available at the Jubilee Centre customer service desks for people who prefer to respond in person.
Officials say the survey is an important part of shaping the next phase of service planning. Residents have until Monday, Dec. 15 to submit their comments.
