RCMP Searching for Woman Wanted on Multiple Charges Across Alberta
FORT MCMURRAY, AB — Alberta RCMP continue to search for Kayla Jennifer Penny, a 31-year-old woman who remains wanted after failing to appear in court in Innisfail. Penny is known to frequent the Fort McMurray area, along with several other communities across the province.
Police say she is wanted after missing a court appearance where she faces a wide range of charges, including possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, fraudulent concealment, possession of a controlled substance, and five counts of failing to comply with a release order. She also faces charges for careless driving, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and several other traffic-related offences.
Since missing her court date, Penny has been added to Alberta’s wanted list. She has previously been seen in Olds, Red Deer County, County of St. Paul, Fort McMurray, Kikino, Exshaw, Fort Macleod, and the Municipal District of Willow Creek.
RCMP are urging the public not to approach Penny if they see her. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
