In a moment of happenstance, the Windsor Spitfires Hockey Club were finally able to add this former Ontario Hockey League goalie prospect, turned Dogstar bass player, to their roster with a one day contract! Welcome to the #YQG Keanu Reeves!

I love that the caption doesn’t even bother to mention his prolific film credits. We know he’s John Wick, after all. But you may not have known that Ontario boy Keanu Reeves actually tried out for the Windsor Spitfires of the OHL when he was a teenager. Unfortunately injury prevented him from tending goal. Interesting coincidence: Keanu’s first movie role was playing a goalie in “Youngblood”, which is about a young hockey player trying to earn a spot in the NHL.
Keanu officially spent a full 24 hours on the roster, with a signed contract and everything. He also signed a pile of other things that are going to be auctioned off to benefit the Windsor-Essex chapter of the Canadian Mental Health Association.
