“In space… no one can hear you…”

Well people could clearly hear me reacting to this new trailer, because the Alien franchise is terrifying again.

This is just a great trailer, and not just for the message that “Alien” is going back to the horror roots, and perhaps deeper into the genre than ever before. First there’s the character/story detail half, and then they pull all sound and move into full spectacle tease territory for the second half. Chef’s kiss. Director and co-writer Fede Alvarez blew me away when he was given the keys to the “Evil Dead” franchise to make the 2013 remake, and both of the “Don’t Breathe” movies held their ground. So I have great confidence this movie will at best be absolutely incredible, and at worst be a mind-blasting chest-bursting visual thrill ride. Count me in either way.
