Frank Carter and The Sex Pistols to Save Historic Bush Hall

Frank Carter and The Sex Pistols—Paul Cook, Glen Matlock, and Steve Jones—are performing two shows on August 13 and 14, 2024, to save Bush Hall in West London. They will play the entire “Never Mind The Bollocks” album, with proceeds supporting the venue. Tickets go on sale on June 5.

Bush Hall holds personal significance for the artists, as Paul Cook and Steve Jones grew up nearby, and Frank Carter performed there in 2012. Their effort comes amid challenges for grassroots venues, which have seen significant declines since the pandemic.

Promoter John Giddings emphasized the importance of venues like Bush Hall for the music industry. Notable artists who have performed at Bush Hall include REM, Amy Winehouse, and Kings of Leon.

The show’s artwork is by Shepard Fairey, known for the “Hope” poster for Barack Obama. Bush Hall, built in 1904 and restored in 2001, has faced financial difficulties, and funds from these shows will help secure its future and support emerging artists.
