I know, I know. “Didn’t we do this in 2022?” We did. And, if you remember, they only seemed to be available for maybe two weeks! What happened?? Well it turns out we wanted the whistle dogs so much that they sold out almost immediately and A&W had to halt the campaign AND the release of the now-award-winning documentary (aka Hot Dogumentary): “Bring Back The Whistle Dog”. The 18-minute film chronicles the Canadian love for the seasonal fast food menu option and the journey to bring it back to a foil paper wrapper near you. No word on exactly when the timeline for this limited time only will end, so until then, bon apetit.
And don’t worry about supplies running out right away. Director of Marketing for A&W, Amanda Wang, gave us assurance (and the best line of marketing I’ve read in a while) by saying “We’ve prepared a ridiculous number of wieners this time around. There’s no way we’re running out again.”
