T is for Trailers

Couple of T-titled movies saw first-look trailers released yesterday: Transformers One and M. Night Shyamalan’s Trap.

In the first-ever fully CG-animated Transformers movie, TRANSFORMERS ONE features a star-studded voice cast, including Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi with Laurence Fishburne and Jon Hamm.

First up is a prequel that seems to fit into the live-action Transformers continuity (ever-changing though it is). The change up is not just the voices for the roles of Optimus Prime and Megatron, but the fact that this is the first fully CG-animated Transformers movie. Kind of fitting since the last major movie was a live-action send up of the first fully CG-animated Transformers cartoon. That being Beast Wars, or Beasties depending on where you grew up.

Next up!

A father and teen daughter attend a pop concert, where they realize they’re at the center of a dark and sinister event. Written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, “Trap” stars Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donoghue, Saleka Shyamalan, Hayley Mills and Allison Pill.

M. Night Shyamalan returns after “Knock At The Cabin” to serve us the premise of a father who happens to be a serial killer taking his kid to a pop concert where a trap lies in waiting for him.

Do either one of these very different movie offerings get you excited?
