Property crime top concern in Police Priority Survey

The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo has released the results of the 2024-2025 Annual Policing Priorities Survey.

The survey, which involved over 1,000 residents, took place earlier this year to help the Wood Buffalo RCMP set their policing priorities.

Over 70 per cent of respondents listed property crime as their number one priority, followed by drug and drug-related offenses at over 40 per cent, and impaired driving as the third concern.

The Municipality and RCMP will be hosting a virtual public meeting to discuss the survey results on April 18th at 1:00 p.m. Interested participants can register for the event online.
