Local HERO fundraiser set for May 4

The Local Helicopter Emergency Response Organization (HERO) is gearing up for its annual fundraiser this spring.

Called the M*A*S*H Bash, the event will pay tribute to the iconic medical comedy from the 1970s and 80s. The Local HERO Foundation aims to blend humour with a tribute to the history of medevacs and the lifesaving impact of the only Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) program in our region.

The event will take place on May 4th at Shell Place.

“Supporting the Local HERO Foundation is vital for our widespread region”, said Dave Tuccaro, CEO of the Tuccaro Group.

“Our rural communities, work sites, and those using our widespread landscape for recreational purposes, all depend on it.”

Over 400 attendees will enjoy live entertainment by Black Board Jungle, a creative chef-inspired themed menu, raffles, dancing, and other activities.

Local HERO is still looking for event sponsors and groups or organizations interested are invited to contact Lorna at [email protected] or visit Local HERO Foundation. The foundation says tickets will be released shortly and can be purchased on their events page.
