Nominations are now open for FuseSocial’s Heart of Wood Buffalo Awards.
The awards honor the achievements of leaders, philanthropists, volunteers, and organizations, who make Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo such a tremendous place to live, work, and play.
“At our best, we are a warm, inviting, and deeply supportive community, tireless in our efforts to help our friends, family, and neighbours thrive,” said Shannon Rex, Executive Director of FuseSocial.
“The Heart of Wood Buffalo Excellence Awards offer an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the remarkable contributions of those who embody our region’s spirit and heart. “
There are eight categories of awards this year:
- Board Leadership
- Social Profit Leadership
- Community Impact
- Philanthropy
- Volunteer Recognition
- Newcomer Engagement
- Collaboration of the Year
- Equity, Diversity, Dignity and Inclusion
Nominations for the 2024 award categories must be submitted by Friday, March 15 at 11:59 PM. To learn more about the award categories and to submit nominations, visit the FuseSocial Heart of Wood Buffalo Page.
FuseSocial says they are still looking for sponsors for some award categories. They are inviting interested organizations to contact them online.
