Some new details have been released, after a six year old girl was struck by a car, and is now in a coma in an Edmonton hospital.
On December 29th six year old “Kaia” was hit by a vehicle in Fort McMurray. She was airlifted to Edmonton with serious brain injuries where she remains in a coma.
Since that day, people in Fort McMurray wanted to help out. First, Prestige Jewelers raised over $20 thousand through an online auction to support Kaia and her family. Other Good Samaritans are collecting and raffling gift cards and collectibles as well as a gift basket with $2,000 in goods to help the family out.
There is also a “Go Fund Me” page to help the family as they are spending as much time as possible by the little girl’s bedside in Edmonton so she sees a friendly face when she wakes up.
