The Fort McMurray Firefighters Charity Association (FMFCA) says 2023 was an incredible year for the organization.

In a post to social media, the group says it raised just over $46 thousand in support of local not-for-profit groups in Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo.

The money was raised from their annual slow-pitch tournament, rooftop campout, and the always-anticipated Fort McMurray Firefighters Calendar.  

The money is being split between:

• Waypoints
  • The Fort McMurray Boys and Girls Club
  • The Fort McMurray Food Bank
  • The Centre of Hope
  • The Fort McMurray SPCA

FMFCA says they will be delivering the cheques in the next few weeks and will be meeting to discuss how they can further support these organizations in 2024.
