The Wood Buffalo RCMP is handing out money to three local community organizations.

At the November 24, 2023, Regimental Ball, guests gathered to raise $4,750 for local not-for-profits. The money is being divided between the Centre of Hope, Pastew Place Detox Centre, and the local Royal Canadian Legion -Branch 165.

On December 21, 2023, Chief Superintendent Mark Hancock, Officer In Charge of the Wood Buffalo RCMP Detachment, formally presented cheques to the organizations.

This year marked the return of the history-rich gala which had not been held locally for nearly a decade. A total of 308 people wearing the Red Serge, gowns, and tuxedos attended Shell Place for the soiree.
