RCMP release victim’s name in Fort McKay incident, suspect still wanted

Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit continues its investigation following the Dec. 5, 2023 incident in Fort McKay.

A man was found by RCMP with life-threatening injuries and died a short time later.

RCMP has identified the victim as 60-year-old Russell John Shott, who is a resident of Fort McKay.

An arrest warrant has officially been issued to find 21-year-old Anton Grandjambe.

He is wanted for second-degree murder.

Grandjambe is described as 5’9″ tall, 163 pounds with black hair, brown eyes, and a medium complexion.

RCMP says he is believed to be armed and dangerous and if seen, do not approach.

They ask those who may see him to call 911 or a local police station.
