A “shelter in place” order in Fort Mckay was lifted yesterday after several hours, but there is a strong police presence in the area.

Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to a firearm complaint on Target Road, and urged everyone to shelter in place, and to stay away from windows.

Later, police announced they were looking for 21-year-old Anton Grandjambe, from Fort Mckay.

Police said he may be armed.

Grandjambe is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, 163 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Police have not said if he has been located, and said they were maintaining a strong presence in the community overnight
