Three people have been arrested by Wood Buffalo RCMP following two separate incidents of stolen vehicles.

The incidents started on the evening of Oct. 30, 2023, and into the morning of Oct. 31, 2023.

Both vehicles were located and three Fort McMurray residents were arrested and charged.

30-year-old, Murphy Deltess, is facing two counts of failure to comply with release conditions, theft of a motor vehicle, and possession of property obtained by crime.

He was released from custody and set to appear in court on Nov. 15, 2023.

42-year-old, Faith Marcel, is facing charges of break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime, and failure or refusal to comply with a drug evaluation demand.

59-year-old, Christine Read, is facing break and enter charges, as well as, possession of property obtained by crime charges.

Both were released from custody and are set to appear in court on Nov. 22, 2023.

Wood Buffalo RCMP is reminding residents to secure their vehicles when not using them.

When warming up your vehicle, they say to ensure the vehicle is locked and not to leave the keys in the ignition, as a running, unoccupied vehicle becomes an easy target for those looking to steal it.
