The Wood Buffalo RCMP has appointed a new Community Engagement officer for Fort McKay.

Constable Robert Crawford replaces outgoing Sergeant Martina Noskey in the now dedicated community role. Crawford’s duties include rendering assistance with service calls, providing support to local bylaw officers, spending time with Elders, and collaborating with Fort McKay First Nation as well as Fort McKay Metis Local 63.

“Fort McKay First Nation welcomes Constable. Robert Crawford to our community, we are grateful to him in keeping our community safe,” said Councillor David Bouchier of Fort McKay First Nation.

“Please make yourself at home in Fort McKay First Nation.”

Constable Robert Crawford took on this new role on July 17th and now primarily works with the community of Fort McKay. The RCMP says Constable. Crawford is enjoying the role and is looking forward to spending more time in the Elsie Fabian School and participating with them in their land-based learning opportunities.
