RCMP urge drivers to be cautious on Halloween

Halloween

Alberta’s RCMP are reminding motorists of the importance of safety this Halloween.

The police say it is extremely important to be extra careful on the road because children are out trick or treating. Kids may be wearing costumes that make it difficult for them to see vehicles on the road, and they suggest drivers “expect the unexpected.”

If you’re heading somewhere in a costume while driving, make sure that you remove your masks, eye patches, or anything else that might affect your view of the road or cause you to become distracted.

Equally important, if you are going to consume alcohol or drugs, do not get behind the wheel.
