A prominent McMurrayite is being named to this year’s list of Canada’s 100 Most Powerful Women for 2023.

Kristi Hines, Founder and CEO of Hines Health Services, is being honored with the distinction by Women’s Executive Network a member-based organization created to celebrate the advancement of professional women in Canada.

Hines was named in the Compass Rose Entrepreneurs Award category, which recognizes female founders who own and operate businesses.

“I am deeply honoured to be a recipient of a 2023 Canada’s Most Powerful Women,” said Hines.

“I graciously extend this award’s recognition to all the powerful women across Canada, especially fellow female entrepreneurs, leaders, and individuals driving positive change in our communities and across the country.”

The Women’s Executive Network says the Top 100 women personify what it means to be powerful by emboldening and championing others, influencing change, and standing up for all Canadians. The awards span public, private, and not-for-profit sectors.

Past recipients include Rona Ambrose, former federal Minister of Health under Prime Minister Stephen Harper, and multiple Juno Award-winning artist Susan Aglukark.

The formal awards ceremony will take place in Toronto on November 30, 2023.
