The “Raining Dreams” exhibition at Mac Island will run until the end of the month.

This exhibition features original work by local artist Lasha Barbosa, who began her artistic journey in 2019 after undergoing life-altering brain surgery.

Following the surgery, Barbosa needed to redevelop her basic motor and cognitive functions, and she turned to art as a therapeutic outlet.

Over time, her passion for art grew, and her artworks are now found in homes worldwide, serving as a testament to her unwavering spirit, courage, and resilience.

One feature of the exhibition is the original illustrations from the children’s book “Tineesha and the Baby Dinos,” authored by Barbosa.

You can view her work at the Kirschner Family Community Art Gallery until October 27th.
