The Artisan Square is stepping up to host this year’s Christmas Market.

The recent trade show and artisan markets are typically organized by the Chamber of Commerce and they were exploring bringing back the Christmas Market. However, the event was cancelled due to scheduling issues with the venue.

The Chamber explored other venues to host a local market but the buildings were not up to their standards for health and safety.

Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce, Dianna de Sousa, said the building was not going to create the experience the Chamber wanted.

“We do a very big complex show. The location was not going to create the experience,” said de Sousa.

“We wanted to do it. It will come back next year.”

The Artisan Square quickly filled this void, ensuring that vendors and consumers could still come together for this highly anticipated event.

A spokesperson from Artisan Square expressed their enthusiasm for helping boost sales in the local region for businesses while creating a fun and welcoming event that citizens can eagerly anticipate.

The event will take place at the Syncrude Sport and Wellness Centre from November 24th to 26th, with a portion of the ticket sales being donated to Santa’s Anonymous.

Organizers from Santa’s Anonymous have emphasized that donations from events like this play a crucial role in supporting their mission, enabling them to cover both expenses and purchase gifts for those in need.
