Local HERO Foundation introduces new executive director

Local HERO (Helicopter Emergency Response Organization) Foundation has announced its new executive director.

Lorna Ash is succeeding Andrea Montgomery Spring who has been in the role since the foundation’s creation ten years ago.

Lorna is a long-term resident of the region and has spent the last 20 years living, working, and volunteering in Wood Buffalo.

She is leaving her role as Director of Development for the Northern Lights Health Foundation where she has served since 2016.

Local HERO highlights that Lorna understands the behind-the-scenes of the charitable sector having previously served in Fund Development, Sponsorship and Events Coordination with the Keyano College Foundation.

She has also served with Conoco-Phillips Canada and Total E&P Canada in their departments of Community Investment and Stakeholder Engagement.

Lorna Ash will take her new role as Executive Director on Oct. 10, 2023.
