Police were called to respond to two collisions between vehicles and pedestrians in Timberlea earlier this week.

At approximately 5:45 p.m. on August 30, Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to a collision between a motor vehicle and a pedestrian near Paquette Drive.

The pedestrian was on a scooter during impact and sustained minor injuries. RCMP says that an investigation is ongoing.

A short while later, at Prospect Drive, another separate incident occurred where a pedestrian was hit while crossing at a crosswalk.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and the driver of the vehicle received a ticket for failure to yield to a pedestrian at a crosswalk.
