The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB) is accepting nominations for the 2023 Council’s Excellence Awards

Residents have the opportunity to highlight the contributions of fellow community members by nominating them in several categories including Citizen of the Year, Youth, Indigenous Advocate, and Everyday Hero.

Submissions will be accepted until October 30, after which the Mayor and Council will choose the award winners.

The RMWB says they’re looking for nominees whose impact fosters a culture of home and belonging in the region, and who represent the qualities in each of the four categories. There will be just one recipient of each award, which will be handed out in a ceremony on December 11.
