Timberlea Public School welcomes new Principal

Timberlea Public School will not only be welcoming some new students this year, but they’ll be also welcoming a new principal.

Fort McMurray Public School Division is announcing Nazia Hiscock is taking the top job at Timberlea Public School.

Hiscock, who possesses a master’s degree in education, has lived and worked in Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo for over a decade.

Hiscock has taught humanities at both École McTavish and Westwood schools. She has also served as Vice Principal at a variety of district schools including Thickwood Heights, Dr. Clark, and Walter and Gladys Hill.

She says she is looking forward to her new position at Timberlea Public School and working with the school community to support and prioritize students.

“Timberlea Public School is a safe and caring community striving for excellence in learning and I look forward to supporting this vision statement for the school,” says Hiscock.

Among her many goals are increasing parent engagement, school improvements, and outdoor education.
