Public Art Wood Buffalo is hosting two free workshops this month.
Open to the public and to all skill levels, the seminars are led by artists whose exhibits will be featured in this October’s IgNight Public Art display.
On August 15, Dylan Toymaker will lead an hour-long virtual program guiding participants through the world of light-based art and exploring the techniques of stencil-cut designs.
On August 22, 24, and 29, artist Jordan Shaw will host in-person sessions where he will teach participants a variety of concepts including various interactive technologies and skills used in media art.
Participants in this workshop will have an opportunity to enter a design competition.
Winning designs will be awarded a $500 design fee and be integrated into an igNIGHT installation.
The sessions are free to attend, and you can register on the RMWB website, or by calling Pulse.
